It's nice to see last years versus this years. It would be nice if you would offer ideas on improving our situation like you used to several years ago... changes in deductions, add'l savings options, etc. where to put money to pay less overall.
What's great about it: Fairly easy
What's not so great: some things are rather convoluted, but that's probably the code, not you

taxes take long enough without having to spend 35 minutes for updates. how old is the informationon the CD? Do the tax codes change that fast?

Very solid and easy to use package. Imports prior year data which helps with auto fills and comparisons.
Only one problem area concerning 1099-B transactions, specifically boxes 9 and 10 for day trading. They are not provided for and I was forced to use the area provided for box 8 transactions.
What's great about it: Easy to use and restart when desired. Imports prior year data

This software is very easy to use, bug free and left me feeling very confident about the overall process. All you need for success are your supporting documents, the w-2's etc. Turbo-Tax will walk you through the whole process in a very user friendly manner.

Using TT for Years

Expert Lindsey, from Tennessee, helped me discover that TT updates were not in the version I was using. She was very patient, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful.
