2013 Turbo Tax

Single line entrys are nice, but it is difficult to understand the big picture. A print preview option or split screen may be helpful to view where on the actual tax form you are working on.
What's great about it: Simple, easy to follow. Finds errors quickly.
What's not so great: Does not access last year's file even it is on my hard drive.

Above Pro comments represent my likes. It's a good application.
However, entering my nickname in this review took way too long. Why do that? Why worry about a nickname - it took 5 tries to get one to "take". Wasted my time...just sayin....

What's great about it: Easy to follow. Backup explanations helpful.
What's not so great: Not Turbotax' fault but cost basis is always difficult and time consuming, especially if it's for a fractional amount.

I feel content that I have submitted my tax return on time and I have the assurance that it was prepared properly. I like the overall corrections at the end and the ability to make the corrections necessary.
What's great about it: I like being able to stop at any time and continue later.
What's not so great: Wish I could do my 1041 Tax return this way.

I HAVE NOW USED TURBO TAX FOR YEARS AND IT IS EASY, INTUITIVE AND ACCURATE....YOU SIMPLY CANNOT ASK FOR MORE THAN THAT WHEN IT COMES TO COMPLETING YOUR TAXES!!

worth the effort

This was my first attempt with turbo tax; I would certainly recommend using the program to file a return; I know I will be able to complete and submit my return next year in very little time and effort
What's great about it: The step by step instructions were very helpful
What's not so great: Took effort to be able to print forms but once understood process worked very well

Problem with Sales Tax Deduction

The sales tax deduction step by step indicated the state and city tax rates but the resulting deduction only included the state portion.
What's not so great: Incorrect amount being used for deduction
