I have been using Turbo Tax so long I don't think I could do my taxes without it - well sure I could but it would seem foreign. My tax situation has gotten less complex in later years, but I always try to use the program to the fullest and love the fact that there are forms and experts and checks and balances. I know this is going to sound funny, but as much as I HATE taxes, I almost enjoy doing them with Turbo Tax. Its almost like it was a computer game - though I seldom ever win darn it!
What's great about it: Step-by-step guides and error checking are a BIG plus
What's not so great: Does not seem as easy as it used to be to go back and forth from the guided review

Once you gather up all your documentation, it can be done in an afternoon with enough time for a nap.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: a shortcut through the exemptions you don't use would be nice

Works Good

Have been using Turbo for over seven years with on problems. Their program and web page are easy to get around in.
What's great about it: Have used for over 7 years never have had a problem.
What's not so great: None as far as I know
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The whole Turbo Tax experience is a God send! I've been using it since 2008, and I like to think I've grown and evolved with it. Every year I purchase the new version, and I've never been disappointed with its ease of use, transfer of information, calculations, and even presentation. Personally, I don't know how they keep coming up with improvements...but thank God they do!
What's great about it: I loved how it transfers info from the last year...also how it completes forms!
What's not so great: I can't think of any!

TurboTax makes filing taxes simple. As documents arrive you can enter them one by one an don't have to wait until the end to file everything. Giving to charities is easy with the assistance given by the online documentation software.
What's great about it: Checks with changes from last year in giving to organizations
What's not so great: Had to quit and restart after installing updates in order to file

New Capital Gain form is not clear.
Only received a 1099S, but suspect that is treated as a 1099B.
Then have to chose a letter for the new form.

What's great about it: Handled Capital Gain on sale
What's not so great: Had trouble processing payment for e-filing state return

We've used TurboTax for over 15+ years and have never thought of trying another software product or tax service.
