It's Done!

Make sure you keep your records, receipts throughout the year. Make files for Income, Medical, Donations, Taxes paid, Education, Investments and any other information you may need for taxes. TurboTax walks you through, you just need to have the information in order!
What's great about it: I have been using this for years, very easy to do.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Like it but dont love it

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and appreciate it. My only complaint is that if you indicate you want to learn more about a subject, you are launched to a general internet site that does not address the question directly and on which sometimes I cant find anything responsive to the question. Still, all in all, I'm not sure how I ever lived without it.
What's great about it: Calculations easy; keeps me orgnized

No easy to add a category like social security benefits that were not included in this years return.

Making more complicated

Program is getting more complicated every year --- language is not simplified for common user but left as legal terms --- and definitions/help barely defins, in past program help was MUCH more explanatory - gave great definition of term AND what was being looked for where to look how to look.... etc. Becoming VERY frustrated with the Turbo tax! Not even sure I did it right this year! by questions, directions, explanations in past was fairly confident I completed the return accurately. not any more

Intuit is the best tax preparation that I know of to date. I have used others and while some are good, some companies are bought and sold. Intuit is stable. The information is always there.
The company is always there and they back you with audit protection and check returns for errors.

Excellent program, easy to use, makes tax filing simple every year.
What's great about it: Easy to use software, detailed interviews to cover all circumstances
What's not so great: Some help topics or "learn more" options have generic responses
