ease of use a pleasure!!!

Easy to use, quick, and do not have to use a lot of brain power!
What's great about it: easy to understand
What's not so great: would feel stupid to find out that I did not use turbotax and over paid

What a GOD SEND you are!

I love this program. I have been using it for over 20 years, I believe and I am completely happy with Turbotax.
What's great about it: Easy in every way.
What's not so great: It says your "returns" are being filed electronically, but I only did one that way, so it should not say that.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax Did It Again!

TT is so easy to use and a great and inexpensive way to prepare your taxes, especially if your return is pretty straightforward.
What's great about it: Easy to use and cheaper than an accountant.
What's not so great: Updates didn't take right away.

2013 Done!

The installation is simple and straight forward. Filling out the return was easy as each step occurred with easy to understand descriptions and background information. The team who wrote the instructions for the step-by-step tax return process wrote as to not sound condescending or belittling. The instructions were set down in easy to understand sentences and phrasing.
The process of filling out each section of the return went smoothly. The description of each section was written in a very common sense way that made it easy for a guy who deals with it once a year to understand.
Another great job on creating a product that gets the job done!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax 2013 Fed was easy to install, get updates for, complete and file a return.

Simplified My Filing

TurboTax Deluxe definitely simplified my tax return this year. I had some complications this time that may have taken me some hours to figure out manually.
Some of the prompts were unclear. I did not jot them down, so I cannot remember examples, except for one. Regarding a car that I used once for freelancing, TurboTax Deluxe asked me if I sold or stopped using the car. At some point, it gave a list of possibilities that I did with the car, one of which was to give it away as a gift. I could only respond for the list, not for a specific item in the list. The path I was led down never clarified what I did with the car. It was confusing. I redid it trying to figure it out. It was never very clear. This was just one example. I would recommend hiring a website GUI professional that has expertise in navigation to sort out the language needed.
Also, I am used to filing manually, so I have always attached a W-2 with the form. As far as I know, it is required to have the W-2, i.e., the actual form sent by the employer. I kept waiting for TT to ask me to upload a scan, but it never did. I saved a PDF thinking that TT had downloaded it online "somehow." The PDF did not contain a W-2. TT did several error checks, but there was never anything about W-2s. It asked for W-2 info, which I provided, but it has been my understanding that the form sent by the employer is to be included with the return. I checked the TT online help and found an indirect hint that info I filled from the W-2 is enough. I e-filed never feeling closure on this issue. TT should provide some kind of explanation on this during the process, if not for anyone else, then for first timers that are used to paper filing.
If my return is not rejected due to the W-2 issue, I will be very happy with TTD.

In my opinion Turbo Tax makes it so easy to complete tax returns. I believe that if those that take their taxes to an agency for filing would try Turbo Tax one time they would kick themselves for not using it before.
I wish Turbo Tax was around many years ago. I probably paid a lot in taxes that I shouldn't have.

Taxes from A to Z in no time

I highly recommend this tax software to anyone......you will not only be able to do your taxes but you are educated in the process....it's a big win for all!
