Thank goodness for the TT users who ask & answer tax questions! I could not figure out why the interest on my QTP distribution was being taxed. A person answered giving detailed information on how to fix this...there's nothing in TT that explains this and/or a formula to subtract the distribution by the expenses and put that number in there. I'm disappointed in this section of TT.
What's great about it: Ease of entering information
What's not so great: Poor explanation on how to avoid getting taxed on earnings from a QTP

Not MAC Friendly

I have loved TurboTax in the past on my PC's that I've had. I recently switched to iMac, and I have to say...this program is terrible on it!! I had to restart my computer just to get the program to e-file. Not real thrilled with this.
What's great about it: Takes you step by step
What's not so great: Gives a lot of error messages for my Mac

Why don't you provide more useful prompts. Change the color of the highlighted (yes/no) prompt so it stands out better, provide more and better help explanations.
Year after Year turbo tax is just mediocre.
What's not so great: some abbreviations that are not clear, not much detail on the prompts.

Have been using TT for many years and it gets better every year! Needed support for the first time this year...only because of my new computer and requesting transfer help, and the support was awesome!
I have been recommending it for years, and now more than ever: user friendly, snap free filing, and great support when needed!

Easy File in an Uneasy Tax World

I am a dedicated Turbo Tax man! I have been using the product for several years and every question I have had during preparation has been answered to my satisfaction. This is the easy way to go.
What's great about it: Everything is in one place and accessable.
What's not so great: Updates seem to be very late in coming
