Easy peasy tax filing process

I like the step by step process with easy access to ask questions and get help. I like importing from brokerages best of all.

Why?

Picked up wrong package at store, did not get package with state return (not your fault). Purchased state return on line, paid almost as much for state as usual cost for both federal and state from store.. What really ticked me off was the price did not include e-file for state.
State of Missouri requires couple to divide income and deductions. TurboTax showed the combine totals under husband's name and did not show the divided income and deductions until final forms. VERY confusing to us when we were trying to complete the return. Also there was no way on Federal form to divide insurance premiums, thus we were unable to separate the deduction on the State form which probably decreased our refund..
WE HAVE USED TURBOTAX FOR SEVERAL YEARS, MAY LOOK AT OTHER PACKAGES NEXT YEAR.

Problem e-filing state return

When trying to e-file Illinois return I get message I can't e-file return because of an error. I have already paid to e-file and can't get information on getting refund or why TTAX said there were no errors and can't believe TTAX imported the data from federal return with errors
What's great about it: Federal was good

Worked all in a short time and went very well.

I switched jobs in 2013 and had a home office for the entire year. If I input the 225 sq ft office for 5 months (job 1) and 7 months (job 2), turbotax will not allow it. It assumes that I had two home offices of 225 sq ft which is over the 300 sq ft max. The reality is that I only had one home office split between 2 jobs, but I could not complete my return without "fooling" turbotax by deleting one of the home offices and putting 12 months on the other. Perhaps you can fix this in the future. I certainly hope that the IRS will accept my return with the adjustments I had to make.
What's great about it: Turbotax has been an excellent tool for many years
What's not so great: Home Office logic ia off.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Glad taxes are done

Turbo Tax is the only way to go. Save money and can do taxes at my convenience in the middle of the night or on a Sunday. Just have to follow instructions and put in some numbers. Worked out great for me pass 4 years.
What's great about it: Easy using Turbo Tax and Cheaper
What's not so great: Lot of reading but that is the IRS fault so complicated
