Hard to Use

Did not find the help that I needed then it could not look after some my problems and questions. I had to go to a CPA for assistance. I am disappointed after using Turbo Tax for years. Had problems accessing my account and had to create a new one. You should have somebody available for instant phone assistance or at least on line.
What's not so great: Coloring or characters very poor on new solid state screens. Very poor choice of coloring.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I kept putting this off over and over again. If I knew how easy it was to be walked through the whole experience I would have done it a lot sooner.

Of course I want it for free!!!! But, in all honesty, this is the best and easiest software I have used for taxes, and I have broken down and used a couple of others just to see, nope, hands down, this is the best.
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Cost

Been using TurboTax forever. Very pleased with the format along with the improvements and changes each year.
What's great about it: Easy menus and manual selection of steps. I do not have to always follow a fix step by step process.
What's not so great: None

I have used Turbo Tax for the last 4 years and have found it makes tax filing far less stressful.
I like that I can work on it for awhile, quit and go back a day or two later and pick up where I left off.

Just Moved - Multi-State

Taxes are always anxiety ridden for me, but now that we have done Turbo Tax some consecutive years I am beginning to get a handle on what used to be a chaotic time of year. Though there are many nuances in Tax Law that still confuse me, and I hope I am filing correctly, Turbo Tax does a great job of answering questions via customer service or just by their basic descriptions of each section. Still anxious, but not nearly as much as a few years ago! That's considered a win in my book.
What's great about it: Great guiding, one step at a time. Took a while because of all of my W-2's and 1099MISC, but worth it!
What's not so great: State still confused me, but, then again, I had to file 3 separate states. Once again, worth it!

Pretty Good Software

I've used Turbo Tax for years and generally like it. Some issues I had were difficulty seeing where the itemized deduction total comes from. The deductions shown include federal tax which is not included in itemized deductions. Took me a while to figure that out. Also had problems with finding out how MO determines auto registration fees. Turbo Tax listed it as a state that uses vehicle value, but it doesn't.
What's great about it: Guides you through the process; pre-fills info from previous year
What's not so great: Explanations are generally vague; not clear where the itemized deduction total comes from
