I'm going to try to re-submit my taxes again today. But, I have already printed out a paper copy so if it doesn't work. I'll submit by paper. I have already paid for the State forms to be filed electronically. So I do not know how to get that money back.
What's not so great: could not submit my taxes over the internet.. The error message was that forms needed to be updated...

Another happy return

I am completely happy with TurboTax and my tax returns. I did however find a one place where information entered was not transferred to a worksheet. But with my return, I am still happy it was only one spot and the error checker found that the information was missing.
What's great about it: Simple, easy, thorough
What's not so great: did not carry information to needed forms in an K-1
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Not as happy with the 2013 version of Turbo Tax Delux 2013 as with 2012.
What's great about it: Good product. But not as good & simple as 2012 version
What's not so great: Two: More cumbersome to navigate, not as simple. And, I really missed NOT have online Chat available.

Do my taxes on MY schedule

Once we started itemizing deductions, we found we needed some help with our taxes. We tried using an accountant and, while they did good work, they were expensive and took a long time. We had to file extensions both years we used them.
We got a TurboTax sample disk in the mail and gave it a try. I was surprised how easy it was to use. It walks you through each section asking questions, then you enter your value in a box or skip it and move on. The explanations were clear and concise, especially for whether you qualify for a particular deduction - something I had a hard time figuring out from the IRS publications.
We've used TurboTax for several years now, and plan to keep on using it.

A state return issue made me question the product

I entered almost all data and TurboTax displayed an amount due to the state. I went back and entered some additional deductions, but TurboTax recalculated an increase in the amount due. That makes no sense to me. Why did this happen? I do not know. Makes me question the reliability of the product.
What's great about it: I would like to know the variance between state and federal calculations for my state.
What's not so great: none specific
