The questions after putting in info from a corporate pension plan as to whether or not this was a RMD are very confusing. This pension is monthly payments from a corporation and has nothing to do with a RMD required of me from a plan in my name or that I have control over. These questions were not asked last year. I think this area can be greatly improved.

Great Software Package

I have used Turbo Tax for about 4 years and have found it to be the best package for individuals to prepare their own return. Navigating is easy and there are resources available if you have questions.
I have used other software packages and find this one the best value for my money.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax 2013

I've used Turbo Tax over ten years and love it. However, this year my experience was very frustrating ! When I tried to file (three weeks ago), I received a message that the "current tax forms were not available and that I would have to wait".
I tried again in a week and received the same message. Tried again 3-4 days later and STILL got the same message. So I went to the TurboTax website and FINALLY found a blurb somewhere informing me that the message was incorrect and that I need to download the forms that I needed.
I'll use TurboTax next year but sincerely hope that my experience is not frustrating and TIME-CONSUMING as this years.
Overall, you guys do good work. Keep it up.

I've used Turbo tax for at least five years and each year it seems to get easier. Great job helping those of us that still like to do our own taxes.
What's great about it: I'm no not an accountant but it made me feel like one.
What's not so great: none

I have never "waited" this long to do our taxes, so it was nice that I was able to get them done so quickly and still have the confidence that they were done right!
What's great about it: Kept everything simple and yet still detailed.

Improper import of data

I have both a small S-corp and Limited partnership. It appears the the data was imported improperly to my Illinois return. S-corp data was reported as Limited partnership data.

It is easier every year it seems. People who do their taxes by hand make me nervous (my sister-in-law)!!
