The process to go through the guidelines and even move from income to deductions and back was much easier this year than in the past. Thank you for the big improvement. My only concern was that it did not ask me to update the software until I was at the end.

Have been using turbo tax for a few years now and still love it. Didn't need any extra help this time but in the past the support from turbo tax team was awesome.
What's great about it: takes you through each step and is quick and easy to use
What's not so great: none

Figured things out with effort

TurboTax transferred the Payer Id from federal to state and displayed it without the hyphens, however, it would not let me proceed because it was hiding the hyphens that were apparently still there (based on what was entered in federal) and not allowed. Terribly annoying bug - don't hide the hyphens and complain about them being there!
Paying for state e-file out of refund apparently incurs a hefty fee - which thing was not clear at all and wasn't explained well when it showed up. I was able to avoid it, but not making the fees clear is a terrible practice.
When I bought the deluxe edition it said it included one state return, which, yes, I might have understood correctly with better attention to the details, but, nonetheless, tricked me and others (as I saw online) into thinking it included the e-file for one state return, and not just the "processing" for one state return.
What's great about it: Allowed me to get taxes done
What's not so great: Annoying bug, unclear/unexplained fees

The rate you charge to use your credit card to pay federal and state taxes is outrageous.
What's not so great: Cjarging a rate of 2.9%
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

For someone who isn't a whiz with numbers, it walks you through the entire process so step by step, that you feel totally validated when finished. I get excited being able to process all of this on my own.
What's great about it: Step by step guidance makes it easy for an individual to help themselves

Once you have all of your information together and input it the first time, it's very easy to prepare your returns in future years because of the automatic transfer feature. The program is easy to use and the end result is an accurate, professional looking return.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: None, really

I've used TurboTax for around 20 years. I appreciate the ease in which I am walked through each situation that pertains to my individual tax situation, and feel comfortable I don't have to have the US Tax Code memorized to produce an accurate return.
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Sometimes difficult to navigate back into a specific section within the income or deduction sections
