Have been using Turbo Tax since 19987. Don't think I can do tax without this software.

Filing State Return Only

I was very disappointed that Turbo tax considers it an error if you have zero AGI etc in your federal return. THERE ARE MILLIONS OF LOW INCOME TAX PAYERS IN THIS COUNTRY THAT DO NOT HAVE TAXABLE INCOME AND DON'T NEED TO FILE A FEDERAL RETURN BUT WANT TO FILE A STATE RETURN BECAUSE THEY ARE ELIGIBLE FOR CERTAIN STATE CREDITS!!! Please take this into consideration in future updates. These taxpayers should be able to efile. They should not have to mail their returns!
What's not so great: Turbo tax does not let you efile a state return when there is zero taxable federal income

TurboTax is a satisfactory means of preparing the tedious tax returns for both Federal and State tax agencies. I did wish this year that I could be spared having to think about all the tax sources that I didn't have, by having those results imported from the previous year. Also, one of my investment companies is not on your list for imports. Like most big companies today, they are very good at hiding behind computer screens making it difficult to find out from them what my tax obligations might be. Otherwise, I give TurboTax high marks. A lot better than paying a tax "preparer" to do the job.

It's great to use since you're filing yourself, but not alone. Takes you through the refund possibilities the best way a computer guided program can.
What's great about it: Everything in one, guided, easy to use
What's not so great: Cost of E-File
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Quick and Easy

Other than the above mentioned everything else was easy to input. The error check was great. Also the vouchers to prepay is going to help me next year.
What's great about it: Quick like a bunny

Deluxe seems to have all I need for numerous partnerships and a small business
