Excellent way To Do Your Taxes

I feel confident that my taxes are done correctly I love this software makes things so easy
What's great about it: easy peasey
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

My Work Horse

I like doing my own taxes and this is a great tool. I don't have to read all the tax forms to file a return and don't need a calculator.
What's great about it: The guide is easy to follow and asks the right questions

Good Program

If one must do taxes, it really helps to have an application that assists with all the possible subjects that one must confront. The TurboTax questions help you organize your material, and provides an easy way to enter the required information, especially if you use the program year after year. I can't say that TurboTax makes tax preparation fun, but it sure beats the way I used to do it when I did it on my own. I strongly recommend this program.
What's great about it: TurboTax provides an easy walk through and explanation for required documents and information.

Fast & Simple

I've been using Turbo Tax over 15 years and have learned to love it. Prior to TT was doing them by hand (bummer). No need for any other tax preparers.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate

Simplicity

As usual, my employer's delivery of the W-2 was just under the deadline of January 31st.....got the W-2 on 2/1. Thankfully, the flexibility of Turbo Tax let me gather most of the info from my last paystub of the year, then go in and make any adjustments needed once the W-2 got here. I did that and sent it electronically the same day. LOVE the electronic filing. Even when I owe taxes, Turbo Tax makes it super easy to pay. And I don't even need to leave the house...can sit warm and cozy with a cup of hot cocoa and file away in nothing flat. No lines, no waiting.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax was fast, easy to understand, and I could do my taxes in my pajamas.
What's not so great: Can't think of anything unfavorable about this program.

Best Way to File

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. Only once in the last several years did I try another program (TaxCut). The program did not even ask about a pension deduction that is allowed in NC. So, I made the change manually. The program would not allow me to e-file because of the manual change. If other programs don't know state tax laws and don't allow e-filing after making a manual change for an allowed deduction, what else are they leaving out? I have only used TurboTax since then.
What's great about it: Quick and thorough
