We have used Turbo Tax for several years and have recommended it to several of our friends and family. Plan to continue using in the future.
What's great about it: was very easy doing our taxes by following the directions
What's not so great: no problems
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Overall, the system works very well for a novice such as myself, Thanx.
What's great about it: Really like the way Turbo takes you through your taxes in easy to understand steps
What's not so great: Some of the Helps need a little more Help e.g. when asking about IRA's don't assume we are asking about a Roth.

Overall, I'm genuinely relieved to finally complete my taxes. They tend to be overwhelming for me to accomplish. I'm entirely grateful to TurboTax for lesser costs and help in processing all the necessary information for me to put into all the paperwork these things contain. Questions? Always. Answers? Always. it feels very good to finally finish them even though it took me more than five hours to actually complete. This is mostly me not sure what to look for in my own stack of papers yet without your help? Where would I be now? Thank you again, I appreciate your help!
What's great about it: A Great Relief!

Appreciate help navigating tax complexities. Still confusing and scary when terms and jargon are thrown at you. Closing is complex and repetitious and costly. Aging makes it more painful each year. I tried paper filing last year and made mistakes. Thankful for the checking Turbo Tax does to ensure compliance.
What's great about it: Appreciate help when needed.
What's not so great: Why submit joint Federal and get state individual?

Saved me a bundle

I have been using Turbotax for many years now and find it very convenient to its autofill of profiles and the ease to, if you saved each return, find what you did in previous years, no need to save hard copies, although I still do just in case I lose my computer files.
What's great about it: Ease of filing
What's not so great: Hard to find how TT gets to detail of math used

Easy instructions to follow. I like having the ability to contact a tax expert or get information from a community group. Have used Turbo Tax for 12+ years without any difficulty. I recommend this to anyone who has a non complicated financial status.

Getting Tougher Every Year

By and large, Turbo Tax remains the top tax program. As I age, I am less capable of handling the complexity that has developed in the program over the years. Let's try for more simplicity in future offerings.
What's great about it: I like the depth of detail in the program.
What's not so great: It forces too much finite record keeping.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
