Tax refund not transferred

Got bill from IRS with interest when Turbo Tax did not transfer my 2011 state refund amount to the 2012 return. The amount was in the worksheet but would not transfer and I could not go back and correct it to have an accurate return. It would not allow me to enter it on the 1040 line 10.

2013 Edition of TurboTax was the most difficult

Too much unnecessary data requested when it comes to investments. What's the need for all the specific addresses and ZIP codes on K-1s. Now you must include a specific date when a charitable donation is made . . . when you think you are done, you must go back, look up and enter the specific address of each charity. Why not ask all this data in the same window. It's what you call a "gotcha" interruption in the business world. Also, if you donate to the same charity twice, the program should automatically enter this info in the second window. Way too much duplicative effort! I've been using TurboTax since 1995 . . . it's becoming increasingly more complicated each subsequent year, and I'm one who is overly organized.
What's great about it: It started up fine but became incresingly more difficult to follow
What's not so great: Too much duplication . . . especially in charitable donations.

Everything was great until the different directions on how and when to handle form 8453... Why isn't the required form submitted as part of the submission process??

I have used TurboTax Deluxe for several years & continue to think it is great. Some areas could be made easier with better questions -- investments for Capital Gain/Loss, types of income.
What's great about it: EasyGuide makes filing much easier & cheraper
What's not so great: Some questions not too clear, especially with investments.

What's not so great: cunfussing setting uo for state taxes
