Working My 2013 Tax Return

The Pros and Cons listed above says it all for me.
What's great about it: It does most of the calculations.
What's not so great: Had to load previous years information on deductions (Charities and Medical).

I don't know how they do it, but this tax program just gets easier every time, every year, I use it. Last years information is automatically entered, so no more tedious entry of my 'personal' information, and the side by side comparisons for last year let me know when I have overlooked something; or, when my finger has inadvertently added an extra number to a value.
What's great about it: All the forms are filled out correctly. When numbers or values need to be transferred to another form, it is done.
What's not so great: And the tax laws just seem to keep getting more complicated!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I had a hard time going back after the taxes were done to find, as an ex. (Est. taxes due.) Correcting or editing stock transfers and additional inputs. It didn't seem like it ever went back to the same place. Overall this year was the worst year I had using TT.
I'm left with the feeling of having someone do my taxes for me next year. Very disappointed.!!

KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid

Over all Turbotax is a great program. I use the Deluxe version, even though we have investments in securities. Additional help not needed.
What's great about it: Seems easier than in the past, especially the foreign tax credit
What's not so great: Too hard to navigate. Wish I could jump around easier.

bummer! had to phone wait-then help person after several tries figured I must be on a mac.-more phone wait-nice mac guy walked me thru updates but it did take a While. There are a lot off mac user-- were we all neglected?
What's great about it: help center ok
What's not so great: updates for mac missing- files would not transmit.

Turbo Tax works quite well except for dealing with 1065, K-1 forms. Asks me to create separate worksheets for several places because same explanation codes are used. Have no idea how to create separate worksheets for the same K-1. Left alone and did not create separate worksheets. As a result kept getting error messages.
