Update Download- E-filing Glitch Disappointing
on April 3, 2014
Posted by: BobOsher
I noticed that a number of people had problems with e-filing due to the download updates glitch. TurboTax has been around forever. Why wasn't this checked out and fixed before release!
What's great about it: Guided Support is Easy to use
What's not so great: Down loading updates glitch was a real pain

TTAX 2013 Review
on April 3, 2014
Posted by: spbog
Easiest return and I have used ttax since it first came out. Saving the file to cd should be worked on.
What's great about it: Much easier to navigate
What's not so great: File should back-up atomatically each time you go on. Give a snapshot of what was done.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Very User Friendly
on April 3, 2014

Haven't done my own taxes in years. Upon the encouragement of friends who had used Turbo Tax, I gave it a try. Even with unexpected happenings this year that needed extra care with regards to taxes, your program walked me right through it. Will definitely be doing this next year. Also, by doing my own taxes this year and paying attention to the questions you asked, I know what forms to keep for filing next year.
What's great about it: User friendly, calming with cute messages
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Relatively Simple
on April 3, 2014
Posted by: Kbace
The basic format of Turbo Tax is pretty simple and easy to follow. When extra things are needed like "It's Deductible" and Rental Property info, it gets a little confusing. I wasn't sure where the property taxes on my rental should be applied. I had to double check to make sure that it was recorded.
What's great about it: The "walk throughs" make it easy
What's not so great: Links to other info are not easy to locate

TT Review 2013
on April 3, 2014
Posted by: TurboSteven
Additional "Con": TT truncates language on forms, sometimes making it incomprehensible.
What's great about it: Easy to use; clear language; abile to switch bewteen data entry & forms.
What's not so great: (1) Very hard to complete PA forms UE. TT puts things in wrong place and it is very hard to correct. (2) See below.

Mostly Good but improvements needed
on April 3, 2014
Posted by: deweykloos
1. TT Doesn't Return to its Place on Major Topic Pages after a given subject has been completed. It always returns to the top of the page, forcing the user to scroll down to find where one was last at on the Major Topic Page.
2. I had to start this page four times because I needed to go back and check on something for completing the page BECAUSE TT didn't save what I had done when I left this page.
What's great about it: Overall, probably the best TT ever
What's not so great: A few problems remain

For simple to moderately complex filings. First year is more effort but follow on fillings are very quick. Love it.
