Turbo Tax is an reasonable method to getting your taxes done. I have a small partnership business, additional income, itemizing, and kids. The program helps me get through it all in a reasonable time period. It also helps give more detail when I have questions with the "more" buttons. I've been using Turbo Tax for about 6 years. I love the auto fill method for the previous returns. It makes everything simpler.
What's great about it: Covers everything and explains when needed.
What's not so great: could it be cheaper?

turbo tax has all of the useful help tips on each deduction that give you common sense information on if you are eligible for a credit or not.

I've used Turbo Tax for over 5 years and have always been satisified. They helped me through an audit and corrected errors I made.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax answered all my questions and covered everything.

I have used Turbo Tax Deluxe since 2002 with the exception of 2012. I returned to TT for 2013 as I spent less time on taxes with this product. I find importing 1099 data is easy and time-efficient. Correcting stock sales information is also easy. While adding charitable donations works well, I did not appreciate having to add "2013" to every donation as those were the only ones applicable to the 2013 Schedule A anyway. I do like the fact that in future years all charitable donations will reappear to avoid needing to re-enter all the basic data. The TT interview format is a big help for first-time users while the "explore on my own" feature saves time for repeat customers. I like the ability to shift between the step-by-step and forms pages as well. I definitely plan to use TT for my 2014 taxes.
What's great about it: Importing financial data, ease of navigation
What's not so great: Form 1116 always problematic - 2013 was easier though

It Would have been nice to know, before entering all our medical expenses, and taking the time to calculate them, that we needed a special "kit" in order to claim the medical expenses deduction.

Annoying program

I've used TT for years and vow every year not to do it again. The explanations don't tell me anything - they use the same terms in the explanation that you are trying to find the meaning to with no explanation. This year the Foreign Tax credit section was particularly bad - i went thorugh multiple entries (over 12) to enter information from just 3 1099s. And the integration of its deductible is nice, but it still doesn't give a category for supplies furnished to an organization (we volunteer but provide envelopes, printing, etc)
What's great about it: does the math into correct places
What's not so great: fails to provide explanations of terms

I WONT USE ANY OTHER PROGAM AND IVE USED TT FOR OVER 10 YRS EVEN WHEN I WORKED FOR A MAJOR TAX PREP CHAIN
