Some good some bad

The well-used parts of the UI work quite good, but there are a couple of places where it didn't work right (particularly near the end when trying to file taxes: the UI got in a loop and I couldn't go forward! It kept taking me through the same screens over and over.)
What's great about it: Nice UI
What's not so great: UI had a couple of glitches and one serious calculation bug.

my experience with tubo tax

turbo tax makes a complex and laborious task easy .
i like the way the program leads you thru each category.
after each section is finished, you can see where you stand
as far as refund or payment is concerned.if you miss a section of program it alerts you and you can go back and finished.

What's great about it: i like the the ease of operation

TT is thorough and user friendly. DIY taxes!
What's great about it: The guided questions cover everything you need.
What's not so great: Sometimes I'm just not sure about some questions and I go for what I think is best.

Love my TurboTax

Downloaded TurboTax again this year, was not disappointed. Quality, logical, step-by-step process, I'm not sure it could be easier. Price was reasonable and the continuity from previous years was nice. Highly recommend this product.
What's great about it: Easy to use, logical logic, smooth

The ending was a bit cumbersome; with all that extra stuff and this web link took too much memory to complete inside the Turbotax filing process.... I have used turbotax for about 10 years now and the experience has been good, in spite of all the problems you had with my software release this year.
What's great about it: connection to brokerage/mutual fund accounts and it worked!
What's not so great: you had a bug in the load for SP this year that slowed my down for a day; never had a bug in a software load before.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo-Tax made the process very simple by asking questions in an easy to understand format. They guide you each step of the way through the IRS maze so that when you're done, you're confident that it's right. Thanks Turbo-Tax for taking a great deal off my shoulders!

Excellent Experience

My taxes are not overly complicated. I found the instructions easy to follow even when it asked for information related to the dreaded AMT.
It is not always easy to figure out where to put the 1099 info, particularly when dealing with capital gains and tax-free funds, but I was able to import information from my brokers and it it seemed to put the numbers in reasonable places.
The place where it asks for PINS is a bit confusing but I just went ahead and it all seemed to go OK. My return was accepted by the IRS less than an hour after I filed it.
What's great about it: Mostly very clear. Excellent worfklow; good importing
What's not so great: A few items remain arcane, esp. around 1099 and efiling PINs

Disapointed this year

software looped on the foreign financial questions for FBAR. I had to exit to escape the loop after five loop repeats. then skip the section. I do have to file a FBAR.
then there is the stupid K-1 form the software insisted on filing even though the amount was zero and I told it I did not have a K-1 for 2013. Overall these faults disapointed me this year. After using Turbotax for about 30 years, your 2013 software is just average. I expected more from Intuit.
