Hooray for the RED,WHITE, AND BLUE

I have used Turbo Tax to file my returns for years. I find the guidance easy to follow and they seem to know when I have made a mistake and need to correct something. I was able to find answers to all my questions from other users...HOW CONVENIENT. My taxes are made easy by just following the guide. Even having several different kinds of investments, the system guides me and I get all the correct forms filed automatically. I wouldn't use any other system.
What's great about it: EASY TO USE
What's not so great: NONE
Pros: I bought or sold investments

A great product

TurboTax did everything I needed to quickly and accurately preparte and e-file my tax return,
HOWEVER
THE UPDATE TO THE PROGRAM CAME TOO LATE IN THE PROCESS!.
I had to shutdown and logon as ADMIN to get the update.
I thought I would have to reenter all my data .
However, I shut down again and loged on to my normal accouint and much to my relief, my data was still there in my "normal" account.
SUGGESTION:
After input of names and other identifying entries have the preparer shutdown logon as ADMIN and apply updates to the program.
After update, shutdown then logon to normal account and continue the tax return process.
What's great about it: thorough and accurate
What's not so great: Sequence of program Update.

A few difficulties

Overall, I really don't mind doing my taxes, as long I can use TurboTax. If I had to fill out the forms without Easy Guide, I'd be lost.
What's great about it: very easy to use
What's not so great: difficulty entering sales tax

with IRA deposits allowed until April 15, i usually go thru the entire federal to figure amounted owed or refunded, and then go back to IRA section to see if additional deposits can minimize amount owed or increase refund. turbotax just allows me to do this on PC and not on paper forms.
What's great about it: allows figuring different ways before filing to determine best results
What's not so great: updates can be slow

Turbo Tax must have gotten the message. Substantially less brain damage this year.
What's great about it: like all Turbotax products over the years, beats the others in ease of use.
What's not so great: I'd like to see a one-click opt-out for the up-sell offers

Love Turbo Tax

I've been using turbo tax for 10 years. Each year the interface gets easier to use. The ability to import tax documents from other institutions is a huge plus, as is the potential for electronic filing.
What's great about it: Easy to use, thorough, maximizes deductions
What's not so great: a few small parts are confusing, leading to errors at the end
