2013 Turbo Tax

I wanted to print a copy for mailing and for my records. The only option I found was print for mailing
What's great about it: Straight forward
What's not so great: Conflicting saving and printiing options
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax made it easy

Turbo Tax has been dependable for many years as I prepare my own tax returns. Thanks for staying current with the changes in the laws, both federal and state.
What's great about it: Step by step process with appropriate leading questionsgives me confidence all items are properly covered.
What's not so great: The Iowa form for Schedule K-1 does not allow enough characters in the trust name box. Correcting was not intuitive.

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years now and I highly recommend it. It's easy to use, it checks for errors, and it makes sure you don't miss anything. Great product.

Easy, guided where you need it. Pick and choose guided areas. Review was quick and thourough. Gets better each year. Been using Turbo Tax for several years and now do not have to re-enter information each time. Bonus!

I have used Turbo Tax for the past four years and it makes my tax life so much easier to deal with. I will continue to use it since it is affordable and straight-forward.

Refund Wizard

The software is fairly straight forward and I think I exhausted my possible deductions and credits. Even with a brokerage account everything went smoothly...for the most part. If the state refund would have been small or if I would have owed the state, I would have never paid for e-filing. The cost has to be 90% based on convenience. I may still kick myself in the rear for not mailing in my state return, but for now, the convenience factor does win out. There are several other upcharge options available to you while working on your return. I didn't opt for any, but they would add up fast to a considerable amount. There I guess you would be paying for "peace-of-mind". Meh.
What's great about it: Wizard style interface make most everything a breeze
What's not so great: State filing went up 25% from last year?! Ouch.

Great Experience

Overall, this was a great experience this year. Traditionally my family makes the dreaded visit to the company that has done our taxes. We attempt to corral and entertain three small children while communicating effectively with the person helping us.... this year was quick, easy, and done at home! Loved this experience and plan to continue to use this software. Thank you for a great experience!

What's not so great: Would have like a little more explanation of some technical terms
