Easy Completion

I love the easy step by step as it brings up all the questions you need to answer. I used Deluxe and for some reason it would only allow one vehicle for mileage deduction in step by step. I had to go to employee business expense to put on second vehicle and this red flagged return, where I might get an audit. I finally went to forms on my own, deleted form 2106, and added second vehicle to schedule C in form view. Just a small glitch, but I got good results overall and my return was accepted By IRS in less than one hour.
What's great about it: It is easy to follow and asks you all the questions.
What's not so great: Sch C only allows one vehicle deduction in step process.

2013--Another great experience!

I had a bit more difficult return this year, but Turbo Tax came through like I hoped they would. I have been using this product for several years now and highly recommend it! Thank you Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Easy to follow, plain english, hit all areas I needed, help boxes HELPED!
What's not so great: Are you kidding? No cons here!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Life is so much easier with Turbo Tax. I have gotten lazy since using TT. Like numbers in my phone, I don't need to remember the tax laws. You do all the hard stuff. I just follow along!

What's great about it: the ability to go back and forth in the program is helpful
What's not so great: It is nearly impossible to update the software while in it.

Easy, user friendly but makes too many assumptions

I have never e-filed before and didn't plan on it this year either however when I printed out the federal return the routing and account blanks were "X" out. Could only get it to print my information by agreeing to e-file. I was not happy with that.
Also, I listed all my charitable contributions which added up to a significant amount however there was not any amount deducted on the state form. How do I find out why?
What's great about it: Very easy to use if you have all your deductions added and ready to plug in.
What's not so great: Practically forces you to e-file
