Taxes Simplified

Years ago I used to do my taxes with filling in the paper forms. Since I discovered TurboTax I have found that it is so much easier. There is great help online too if I have any questions. Overall this has simplified my taxes.
What's great about it: Turbotax has simplified taxes to fill in the blanks. It is so easy
What's not so great: They are constantly trying to upsell you on features that are not necessary

Makes the Unpleasant Almost Pleasant

I had a question about how to go about adjusting my medical expenses to account for amounts covered with funds from my pretax Flexible Spending Account (FSA). I readily found the answer to my question on-line so the "con" I've mentioned here is a minor one. But I have to think this is a very common question. I'd like to suggest that Intuit adjust the process to ask if any of one's personal medical expenses were covered by funds from an FSA account - a simple adjustment that would make a smooth process even smoother.
What's great about it: User-friendly approach with easy to use and comprehensive information resources for any questions.
What's not so great: Could use a dialogue to address Flexible Spending Accounts

I've been filling my taxes using TurboTax for the last 5 years and found it to be a complete and supportive process.
What's great about it: The overall experience was very good. I felt comfortable throughtout the process.
What's not so great: None

Even a novice can work with Turbo..

Having retired in the middle of the year, I thought my tax return would be rather complicated. Turbo Tax walked me through everything and made sure I accounted for all incomes and especially all deductions. I would suggest walk through everything and not be in a rush. Even the program suggest have all records in hand before starting.
What's great about it: Liked reminders and suggestions
What's not so great: No significant cons could I give ..

Mixed Feelings

I would not want to fill out my income tax returns in this day and age without the help of a software program such as TurboTax! I really like TurboTax!
I like the ability to answer questions in a step by step fashion and also be able to view the forms when needed.
For the most part, I find it easy to use.
So many different situations have to be addressed by the software so as not to miss anything. What I find lacking are the help/tax help features. Most of the time when I click for more information, I find the "help" to be a basic description and no link to more in depth information.
Searching help has not been very successful for me. There is too much out there and difficult to find the exact information that pertains to my particular questions/situations. Also, I find it disconcerting that other TurboTax users are answering the questions. Does TurboTax screen them/the answers to be certain the information is accurate?
What's great about it: Love answering questions and having the software put the information on appropriate forms.
What's not so great: I find the help features to be lacking. Limited access to speak to a Turbotax professional.

Easy and reliable

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and have never had a problem. The product does a great job of walking me through all of the income an deduction categories. I feel very confident that my return is filed correctly.
What's great about it: Easy to use, reliable, accurate
What's not so great: Federal efiling is free but state efiling is not
