Missed the state pension subtraction

I have been using Turbo Tax for 7 years and have been extremely pleased. Usually takes the confusion out of the whole itemized return.
This year I started receiving a pension from NYSTRS as a retired teacher. There was no question or opportunity to enter my taxable amount as a New York state subtraction since it is supposed to be exempt from New York State taxes. Fortunately, with the help of a NYSTRS professional, I learned I had to go to the "Forms" section. On the New York state form IT-201 I had to enter the amount from line 10 on line 26 under New York state subtractions so i was not taxed on my pension.
What's great about it: Step by step questions of my situation
What's not so great: Did not have a section on state tax-exempt pensions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

instructions updates did not manually restart TT13

Otherwise this is my second decade of turbotax usage.
What's not so great: Down loaded updates three times and could not get e-filing to process until I manual saved and restarted TTAX13

TurboTax is very simple to use. I was able to easily input my mortgage because of the questions asked by the software.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Guided input
What's not so great: Pricey compared to H&R Block software
