I have used turbotax for many years, will always use it.
What's great about it: turbotax does the math!
What's not so great: it still has to work with the irs
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax is the gold standard of at home tax prep. Always the right choice for me.
What's great about it: Quality tour through complex land of taxes.
What's not so great: Need a bit better AMT section.

I wouldn't use anything else.
What's great about it: Turbotax has perfected the Federal Returns. I especially like the ease with which I can get clarification .
What's not so great: The state tax returns could use a LOT more fine-tuning, and multiple states are a nightmare.

Does the best job of helping you focus on your personal tax situation and testing alternative strategies. Your average tax professional just doesn't have that kind of time.

I always use TT and it gives me confidence to submit my taxes by myself.
