Helping a disabled sister, this makes things easier for me as I handle all her affairs........can make sure I don't miss anything that I am aware of in her daily life that can apply to taxes.

Each year, it gets easier to prepare our taxes with Turbo Tax. The program just keeps getting better. As long as one keeps good records, accessing them makes it easy to continue through the program. Both Federal and State taxes are easily and quickly prepared!

I should be easier for non accountant persons
What's great about it: Was much easier than last year
What's not so great: Had problems understanding the terminology for home office deductions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Software works well
Not impressed that a second state is so expensive
When e-filing federal and one state turbo tax thinks you are done and does not prompt you to print and file the second state (software flaw)

Only way to go!

Pleased to use TurboTax. There was an issue with downloading updates due to a firewall in place. There was no advisory about that. Had to call technical support.
What's great about it: Enter, answer, and forget about it.
What's not so great: did not warn about firewall issues before updating!

TURBO TAX 13

I always use the forms method but occasionally I need to go to the "guided" method. When I do I often have big swaths of data that are not applicable but I have to pour over it anyway.
I found that the program insisted that I use all the address lines on the TT 1099R, most provided forms only have three address lines, TT has four.
I wonder why the program takes so long to load
What's great about it: I could not do my taxes w/o this software, it is easy to use and gives me confidence that I'm doing OK. I have used it
What's not so great: It is difficult to save a copy to a safe place (stick) and retrieve it, hard to get answers to specific questions.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
