What a Tool

I am a consistent user of Turbo Tax and find it an extremely vital for filing my tax returns. If I need explanations for something I do not understand, the info is right there for access. I am very pleased with the ease of this software and rely on it every year for filing my returns. It is truly a wonder tool for anyone interested in filing their own returns. It is an education tool as well.

We have been using Turbo Tax to process our federal and state taxes for the last 6 years. This was the first year that I have experienced some confusion regarding the State return. Federal was a breeze - very user friendly. Additional filing fees were unexpected and unfortunate.
What's great about it: Federal return is very user friendly.
What's not so great: Unexpcected fees, State return difficult to process through.

Only one major issue to report. TT will not allow e-filing if old TT files are sitting in your trash. Be sure to empty your trash of all TT files after receiving updates. I hope this will be fixed next year. A minor annoyance is having to step through all the previously completed pages of a section to get to where I left off.
What's great about it: Easy to follow. Finished my taxes in under an hour.

I have done my family's taxes for 9 years now using TurboTax.
It has been an easy process and we have never had any problems with the IRS or state tax board.

I highly recommend Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Clear consise instructions
What's not so great: Still does not accomodate Joint Federal and separate state for military filers
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
