Just a few things

The only thing is once I finished a category it did not automatically move on. I think this was not a problem last year. If not for this would have been 5 stars.
What's great about it: I could follow it
What's not so great: Wish it automatically move through the items

Won't let me print my state return for previewing or mailing.
What's great about it: Good program & easy to use.

2013 Turbo Tax

If I were not a tax lawyer, and I just followed all the instructions without looking up the actual federal and state forms and instructions for items where TurboTax instructions were unclear or misleading, I would make filing errors. Since most people using TurboTax are not tax lawyers, this is unacceptable.
What's great about it: gets the job done, remembers last years info accurately
What's not so great: cryptic instructions for some items

Great customer support

I've used Turbo tax for many years. It makes things easy by importing last years info. This year for the first time there was a glitch in one of the state programs I downloaded. Got customer service on the phone. Lisa stayed with me for about 30 minutes as we worked our way through to a solution.

Disappointing glitches

I've been using TurboTax for a decade and this year was the first time that I found it to be buggy. It kept identifying "errors" that weren't and then when I tried to e-file, it wouldn't let me because it kept telling me updates were available--even though I had just checked for updates. It took four tries before the e-filing went through.
What's great about it: Imports from previous years
What's not so great: Glitchy, buggy software
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Year after year excellence.

We have used Turbo Tax Deluxe since we were married in 1999. Even though our tax situations changed through home purchases, home sales, children, day care costs, investments, etc... Turbo Tax always had the right method. I don't see us using another tax preparation method any time soon.
What's great about it: Ease of use, guidance, speed
What's not so great: Literally haven't found one.

I love Turbo Tax! Easy to use and no hassles. Your taxes can get done any time night or day, no appointment necessary!
What's great about it: Easy to use, step by step guide. Done quickly and accurately.
What's not so great: None!

TurboTax 2013

Best word to describe it is "trusted". Easy to use, excellent support and large User group. I've used it for years and now watch as my children follow suit.
On the downside this year... I was "shocked" at the state e-file cost. In hindsight... and keeping it in mind for next year... I'll purchase an envelope and a stamp.
What's great about it: Trusted software, intuitive, comprehensive.
What's not so great: Slightly expensive.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
