Great Software

I have used Turbo Tax for many years now, and am completely satisfied with the Deluxe version. My returns are not the simple, garden variety, and it took a couple of times for me to understand where every little item is taken care of. However, Turbo Tax has the information needed and the links to take care of things if you go through their full process. I have found it to be much more knowledgeable than the average tax service.
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate and thorough
What's not so great: Best if you have used it for years and know your way around

Best tax program ever!

I've used TurboTax for 8 years now and I've had no previous experience. I always check my taxes with other tax business like hr block and I've been luckier with TurboTax. I will continue and recommend TurboTax to everyone
What's great about it: Step by step guidance
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

There is nothing I dislike about Turbo Tax. I have been using it for a long time and most likely will continue to use it until I die. That is the extent of my satisfaction with Turbo Tax.

problems

I marked that I wanted federal & state returns e-filed. When I found out charges for e-filing state, went back & marked that I wanted to mail my state return. Never did receive new instructions on what to do with state return. Guess I just sign, date & mail....just do not have address to mail return. Really need help!! ALSO: We filed 2013 estimated federal tax forms quarterly with payments. We did not get these forms with copy of return.....WHY??? Will need these forms again this year....where can we get them?

What's not so great: after I changed to wanting state taxes not e-filed, did not receive any further instructions on what to do!

Relax with TurboTax

A little consulting income, a little investment income, a little Social Security, a little rental property income, an IRA MRD, a little interest income, and a small business would make it virtually impossible for me know which forms I need and to file without TurboTax or a good CPA and if I did, I'd be concerned about my accuracy. TurboTax has been solving these headaches for my wife and I without a problem for over 10 years.
We recommend TurboTax to all of our friends and family.
What's great about it: Logical solution to government double talk.
What's not so great: None

Fast, intuitive and accurate way to file your taxes. Gets better every year. I've been using Turbo Tax every year since the DOS days in 1986. It has carried over all my data flawlessly. I used to fight the program when I thought it was doing something wrong. It was always right and now I trust it implicitly.
What's great about it: Speed, accuracy, intuitive.
What's not so great: Cost to e-file state
Pros: I bought or sold investments
