pretty good, but.........

Had to download sales tax fix, and program insisted I hadn't used a 1099 int. that I had entered. I finally had to say I didn't need the 1099, even tho I had used it in the return, just to continue with the return.
What's great about it: very user friendly
What's not so great: some small glitches in sales taxes and int. 1099

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and find it to be helpful and instructional.
I really can't think of any reason why I would use anything else.

Work is needed for reporting regular pension income. It should not be included with IRA or 401k income.
What's great about it: Made state return simple.
What's not so great: Very confusing for reporting monthly pension income.

Trouble with Downloading State Return

Took me almost 6 to 8 hours to do a return that should have taken me about 2 at the most. I don't know what the exact problem was but we had to do a convoluted work around to get it to work. .... I do like the product and hope that you will not have this problem next year...
What's great about it: Easy walk through with good instructions
What's not so great: Had an awful time trying to download the State return

Everyone should use 'Turbo Tax'. Fast , friendly & easy.
What's great about it: Gets easier every year w/ all the direct deposits.
What's not so great: I hate to pay the Government.

Great Assist!

I've been using Turbo Tax for quite a few years now and have had no issues with the software. However, this year a ran into a problem with an excess contribution to my HSA that prevented me from filing electronically. The Tax Pro walked me through the steps to correct my mistakes, and I got my taxes filed the same day. Great job!
What's great about it: The tax professional was very helpful in dealing with an excess contribution to my HSA.
What's not so great: I only wished I knew sooner that I could have talked to a tax pro about my question for free sooner.
