2013 taxes

I have used turbo tax for the last 3 years, it works well. I have never been asked to revise by the WV Tax Dept. which happened a few times when doing by hand. The first morning I tried to load disc I recieved exe. file errors, tried the next day and it went smooth no errors. Have to do some of the uncommon deductions by hand and enter onto forms for state taxes.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: had problems loading

WOW! - Saved my Vacation Fund

I've done my taxes on my own for years and then a couple of years ago started using Turbo-Tax. It remembers me year to year so I don't have to go sorting through tons of old paperwork to review previous returns. I went back to the paper forms this year and then used Turbo-Tax. It saved me almost $1000 on my return.

What's great about it: Easy to follow the interview and like a friend, remembers me!
What's not so great: Takes a minute to load
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Put the update button right after the install process.
What's great about it: Great to use year after year
What's not so great: There should be a button up front to request updates not after you have completed federal return. Wasted my time.

Couldn't Be Happier!

I was apprehensive at first when I purchased Turbo Tax. I had never figured my taxes before and was concerned that a novice such as myself would end up frustrated and confused. Quite the contrary! This program was very simple to use and I was very pleased with the whole process. I am a permanent fan of Turbo Tax and will recommend to all my friends in the future. Great job Turbo Tax! You rock!
What's great about it: Easy to use. Even a caveman can do it!
What's not so great: No cons.

I bought the disk and it wouldn't load. Had to download from the web site. My return was complicated by my husband's death in more ways than one. I couldn't easily find the location to enter funeral gifts, and when I went to enter the pin to e-file, it didn't tell me that I needed to enter my pin rather than the one we used last year, so the return was rejected by the IRS. I got a new pin from the IRS and resubmitted it. Definitely not an improvement!
What's great about it: Price
What's not so great: It was more confusing that in past years.

Problems with e filing

I have used turbotax for about ten years now. This is the first time that I have had a problem with it. I did everything and tried to e file, but got an error message, saying that I needed to download updates. So I did so, and the same error happened again, and again, and again. I am disappointed. I hope that they will not give me grief in returning the fee for state e filing.

What's not so great: could not get it to e file this year
