It took less time to complete this process than in the past. You don't have to shift through countless categories that don't apply to you. The process seems a lot more automatic.
What's great about it: took less time to get this done than in the past

Great Program!

I have been using TurboTax for years and will continue to do so because it makes the painful process of taxes a simple matter and saves me time.
What's great about it: The walk-through saved me a lot of time as I had to file in an additional state.
What's not so great: When the Minnesota form was updated, today, a value I had stored was wiped out. This was a little frustrating.

TurboTax makes it easy once again

I've been a TurboTax user for years and I had no problems with the software again this year. The information from prior years is automatically transferred and new data is easy to enter while following the guide. Thumbs up!
What's great about it: Guided setup, review, audit chance calculation
What's not so great: Bug fixes all the way through March
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have difficulty with one part of the income area. As a retired minister, all of my pension and retirement income is non-taxable. I couldn't make a significant portion of it appear in that category. Please advise and thank you.

Easy Steps for Easy Mind

I have used Turbotax for somewhere near 20 years. The product I use (again this year) was TurboTax
Deluxe CD version. Some years the guidance is better than others. The 2014 interface and guidance is one of the better ones. The top menus were clear and the sub-menus below were highlighted so you knew where you were at any time. The layout made it simple to jump back to a previous topics and the back buttons within a topic made navigation easy.

This year I didn't have to use the entire guidance and selected to pick my topics. Selecting my topics allowed me to more quickly complete my return.
I did not have to use the tax information often but when I did I found them conveniently placed to access them.
I may have missed it this year but I did not see the overall list to allow me to jump back and forth within the whole return.
Next year I may give TurboTax online a try.
What's great about it: More streamlined guidance, easy to switch directly to forms
What's not so great: Got tripped up for awhile on W4 and Estimated tax steps

Easy Tax Time

Very easy to use with lots of clear advice on answering tax questions. Once you have your basic tax information handy the process of generating the return was simple and non stressful.
What's great about it: Lots of additional information for questions that came up using the program
What's not so great: The national averages for each catagory is missing this year. It was nice to know how our taxes compared with others.
