Done Right

Have used it for the last 10 years and keep coming back. Not simpliest, but reliable.
What's great about it: comparison year to year,
What's not so great: lacks the ability to do simple "what if", single vs married

I had to print out and mail in, would not update or download CA State..I wont buy it again

Overall it has saved me a lot of time and headache with doing taxes.
What's great about it: The speed of the calculations and time saved
What's not so great: Would like to have printed materials as well.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax said I owned no State tax so I should have been able to e-file Fed Return but an error message keep coming up about my State Return, even though I DONT PAY ANY STATE INCOME TAXES.
What's not so great: Could not e-file because of problems with State Return

Extremely Easy To use

Fantastic and easy to use. Always clear information and easy step by step process on every single thing you could possibly have a question about. My wife and I will use Turbo Tax from now on.

My major complaint is with the cost of filing state taxes. The cost difference in the software alone should be enough and would be fair in my eyes. To charge extra to file electronically goes too far, and I will be filing my state taxes myself and without much additional difficulty.
I would also recommend looking at the additional tax deduction sections. It is not clear to someone who doesn't already know that state income taxes from a prior year are deductible but federal ones are not, for example.
Overall good job.
What's great about it: Entering income is very intuitive and easy
What's not so great: excessive state tax prep fees, certain deduction explanations confusing
