so easy

The software seems to get better every year. I finished my taxes in no time at all and it was much less expensive than going to see a tax professional
What's great about it: really simple, accurate, and easy to use
What's not so great: none

I have been on auto delivery for multiple years. My latest computer does not have a CD Rom. It took some time on the website to figure out who to contact. There should be a 1800 number to call. I ended up with a woman in India for online support. She was very helpful and downloaded the software to my account. Overall this years experience for me was not as good as prior years. It could have been due to the frustration of not having someone to call or it could be that I had to scroll down the screens for each topic. Prior years seem to be presented better. Now going to submit my review and someone already has my nickname - really? I have to make up a nickname to submit a review?
What's great about it: easy of use
What's not so great: Not as seamless as prior years. I had to do a lot of scrolling down.

Quite Entailed

Always use Turbo Tax. Have tried another program but was not satisfied with results. Came back to Turbo Tax and was completely satisfied with process and results.

I'm pretty sure I still made mistakes, the government makes it way too complicated to file yourself.

Captures all Tax angles

We have used TT for over 15 yrs to manage personal, farm and rental. Has remained easy to use and accurate. Help from the forum is quick.
What's great about it: Easily navigates complex tax issues

Pretty good

I've used TurboTax for a few years now and will continue to do so. The questions are fairly easy to answer and I like having help just a click away if I need it.
That's not to say that TurboTax is perfect. I had a hard time reading some of the questions because the typeface is tiny. Larger print and boxes to check would be very helpful. Also, one problem I ran into was when I mentioned a foreign tax I had paid according to my 1099-DIV. TT asks for the name of the foreign country, but my 1099-DIV doesn't mention which one. After checking, I found that it's not necessary to declare which county you pay foreign tax, but TT would not accept that. Anyway, after a few days I resolved the situation, but it would have been nice to complete my tax return in one sitting.
What's great about it: Most questions were easy
What's not so great: Print on screen is very small

Taxes made easy

I have been able to do my own returns for several years. This really helps me understand exactly what can be deducted and what can't. I feel I learn something each time I do this.
What's great about it: easy to understand directions
What's not so great: ask government to quit making changes
