I've used TT for over 15 years and I have to say I dislike it more and more each year. The older programs would provide useful tips and videos. This version is way overpiced, bulky, slow, and does not make taxes any easier that using the old tax booklet from the library. All TT is doing here is trying to get me to spend more money by injecting ads and prompts for upgrades throughout the program. Last year's program wouldn't even allow me to connect to my financial institutions to download data. This year's program is very light in helpful informaiton. I use it's Deductible as well and have to say that I am not seeing much value there any longer either. Logging into intuit these days is a joke as many times I would enter my username and password in an endless loop. Very disappointing - I hear TaxACT is now the PCMag choice for tax filing software. Maybe that's the next place to try. Very disappointed.
What's great about it: can't think of one to keep me coming back
What's not so great: overpriced and not very helpful, only wants to sell you more features

Gets Better Every Year!

I have been using TurboTax for about 15 years. It gets easier and better every year. During that Time period I have bought & sold real estate, changed my state of residence, changed jobs several times, and TurboTax has walked me through each and every one of these transitions. Highly recommended!
What's great about it: Easy, Thorough & Complete! (did I say Easy?)
What's not so great: not Free

My fifth year or so, I wouldn't use any other service.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to Follow
What's not so great: Kept Schedule C from previous business - didn't need this year

Using TT or it's predecessors for years. Will continue until we don't have to pay taxes any more.
What's great about it: Familiar format, easy to use.
What's not so great: Doing the taxes easy; paying not so much.

Disappointed. Empty Schedule C generated on Federal return. This caused problem with state return. Deleting form did not help. Will not e-file state.
What's great about it: Familiarity
What's not so great: install and software product updates were not automatic. Hasd to click exe to install. nd could not be deleted

2013 tax

find it hard to navigate, not easy to go back and forth, not easy to fix errors made entering data, would like to view forms as they get filled out, do not need 42 pages to file fed and state tax
What's not so great: still not user friendly
