All and all software was straightforward.
What's great about it: all typical questions were asked and information entry was easy
What's not so great: alternative minimum tax. it would be beneficial to explain how to use carryovers

2013 tax filing using Turbo Tax Deluxe

This is my third year using Turbo Tax Deluxe for preparing my own tax. The program is very easy and intuitive. With clear step-by-step guidelines and instruction and the simplicity of transferring all information from last year return, I was able to finish my return in about 2 hours. I like the fact that the program will walk you through all of the topics regardless weather they are pertaining to your tax situation or not. I am one of those individuals who does not leave anything by chance. I will definitely use the Turbo Tax again for next year return. Money well spent.
What's great about it: easy to work with step-by-step instruction

What's great about it: Easy Tax Preparation
What's not so great: Getting 2013 version was a nightmare. Then TurboTax offered auto annual update but not how to get it!

Thankful for Turbo Tax

I'm in my seventies and have been paying outrageous fees to have a CPA file my taxes for many, many years.

Last year, 2012, I sold a condo and bought a condo and resided in two different states. Since I am retired, I decided to use my time (pay myself) to try TurboTax even though this was a more complicated return.

I still can't believe how thorough and easy this was! I actually ENJOYED the process.
I just finished 2013 taxes. Thank you again TurboTax !!

pretty easy but minor problem with update

Was as always easy to use, but had a minor problem with the updates and it initially rejected my e-fiing a couple of times before it would work. I rebooted and that seemed to help. Good price!
What's great about it: fast and easy
What's not so great: the updates had a bit of a glitch

Another satisfied year using TurboTax

I have been using TurboTax to do my taxes since 1992. Every year the upgrades to TurboTax make doing my taxes more enjoyable, make that easier paying taxes is not enjoyable, every year.
Plus downloading data from year to year, financial accounts, and from ItsDeductible, takes a lot of the manual effort away from me.
What's great about it: Data transfer from year to year and from financial accounts
What's not so great: it should automatically load in the purchase price of TurboTax as a tax prep fee.
