Gets easier and better every year.
What's great about it: builds on previous years info without having to re-enter
What's not so great: Needs to have a check for reasonable data. I entered gross pay as the state tax paid and Turbo Tax didn't raise a flag
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

LAST TIME FOR TURBO

the system would not show WHAT errors.. i had to use the list top right AND it only showed the NUMBER OF errors WHY do you not have a PH NUM listed for PROBLEMS? i spent Hours searching for the errors. SYS NEVER updated the count.
What's great about it: THE FORMAT OF ENTRY GOOD
What's not so great: I WAS UNABE TO BRING UP ERROR CHECK.. TRIED EVERYTHING, HAD TO JUST GO BACK AND CK EVERY ENTRY HOURS EXTRA WORKRS HO

2012 Data not carried forward to 2013 return

1.I had a form 8606 in 2012 & prior years (all done on TurboTax), but the basis was not carried forward to 2013 return. If I didn't understand this, I would have missed this important reduction in taxable income. I manually entered it from 2012 return.
2.I don't like the way the federal return ending sequence automatically takes you into the state return. I would like the option of first printing the federal return for review (NOT all worksheets, just actual IRS forms).

Overall was great

Overall was easy to used and asked the right questions.
US Savings bonds interest not noted as tax exempt in the state return and should have been.
TurboTax did not handle well working in IL & living in WI. All Abbvie state taxes were applied to WI due IL/WI agreement.
What's great about it: Asked most of the right questions.

turbo tax software

I like how it leads you thru every section, asks the questions and gives a running picture of the refund.
I was unable to figure out how it arrived at the "Massachusetts difference" in capital gains & loss on schedule D. It was very fraustrating.
Other than that it is a good software
What's great about it: generally user friendly and ease of filing
What's not so great: unable to get to some details on how numbers were generated
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Easy to use

I have used Turbo Tax for years and find it is not only affordable but easy to use and understand with all kinds of help for any questions I may have. I used the Turbo Tax for Business when I owned my own business and it walked me through everything and now that I am retired I was able to use the basic tax program. I have never had any trouble with filling and never been audited. I would recommend this product to anyone.
What's great about it: Easy, accurate and the program is affordable
