Turbo Tax very simple to use. Asks the right questions to obtain the necessary information and has multiple reviews along the way. Doing the Federal taxes very very simple.
Had some difficulty with the state taxes. First time had to do these and assumed I would e- file. E-filing fee almost as much as the refund. I tried going back to delete e-filing state returns and had problems there. Not really sure what the final result was whether or not I stopped the e-file and exactly which forms have to be mailed.
What's great about it: Holds your hand each step of the way
What's not so great: some difficulty with State return

I had trouble with a 1099-B involving a transaction for "Rights Payment". This form and TurboTax stated that under Box 6a the boxes 1b,1c,3 and 5 may be blank, but under Turbo Tax reviews they were always called for and I had to put something in them before I could file electronicly.

This product is easy to use. You don't have to be an accountant or tax professional to understand it.
What's great about it: Easy to use for everyone. Walks you through everything using terms everyone can understand
What's not so great: This year, I had problems getting software updates.

YOU NEED TO PUT IN A SIMPLE POINT AND CLICK WINDOW. I SEARCHED AND SEARCHED THE PROGRAM FOR THAT ISSUE, AND COULD NOT FIND IT ANYWHERE. YOU KNEW THAT IT WOULD BE A QUESTION. WHY NOT ADD SOMETHING TO THE PROGRAM SO PEOPLE CAN FIND IT EASILY.
What's not so great: More info needed about Obama Care tax penalty. Searched program coudn't find it. Why not?

Personal and Business Complete

I waited to the last minute to do Personal and (2) LLC Federal and State Returns. I was able to complete my part in (2.5) days and provide K-1's to my partners very quickly.
What's great about it: The step by step and picking up previous year return information made the process very easy.
What's not so great: More help for issues found in the review would be appreciated.

TOOK QUITE A LOT OF TIME AND READING AND I HAD TO DO IT WITH QUITE A FEW STOPS TO LOOK UP INFORMATION I DIDN'T KNOW I NEEDED. OVERALL IT'S A GOOD EXPERIENCE AND GAVE ME A BETTER KNOWLEDGE OF HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.
