Love TurboTax

In general, TurboTax is doing great job for me. One thought: I sold my primary residence at loss in 2013. While doing my 2013 return, I spent some time locating, calculating and entering the adjusted cost basis, and sales related expenses for this home, only to find out that losses related to sale of primary residence are not deductible. I thought that maybe - it would be nice to get a warning regarding that - earlier in the process. otherwise, i love TurboTax. thank you!
What's great about it: DIY, and educating myself in the process

Been Using for Decades

Been using this for decades, like almost as long as it has been around.
Only thing that could make it easier is if the IRS would send ALL my information that they have electronically through TurboTax. That way I could just log into TurboTax and accept the information and then add any donations or changes in deductions, exemptions, or status. If I tried real hard I may be able to upload most of it electronically now. My biggest trouble is finding all my documents in the piles of mail I get and wondering if I found everything to include.

I backed out and retried but it would not let me e-File this year. Always has in the past. Not happy about this.
What's great about it: Almost all is self-guided.
What's not so great: It wouldn't allow me to e-File this year.

Easy as pie

This is the fifth year we have used turbo tax, and all I can say is it was a pleasure and a please.
What's great about it: Step by step instruction makes filing a breeze.
What's not so great: NONE

What's great about it: Easy to fill out - saves time looking up all the rules
What's not so great: Couple areas not clear. Need to be more specific as to what you are asking for.

it took me a few trys to file my taxes but got it all threw and completed today, the lady that helped me figure out the few things that were wrong and why it wouldnt send was amazing, and didnt make me feel dumbat all, and was brillant herself:)
What's great about it: she was kind and helpful
What's not so great: im not that great with computers

Pleasant surprise with my return amount!

I have used TurboTax for about 10 years and I always have had great results and have saved myself a tremendous amount of money. I started using TurboTax after I have a bad experience with a tax preparation company and I have been pleased every year since.

What's great about it: I really liked the "Explain This..." feature, answered several questions during the process.

Seems to have improved from previous years - a ilttle bit faster and easier to use. Instructions a little clearer.
No internet glitches or lags.
What's great about it: Fast and stores data from previous year
What's not so great: Still room to improve answers to help questions
