Made the tedious task much easier

made my return easy to do. you can always go back to edit a statement if you do not have all you papers ready You can start as soon as you get the program and add to it as you feel up to it. Once you start you can stop at any point and pickup the next day or next week. it is always there.
What's great about it: short and sweet no brainer
What's not so great: costs

Horrible this Year.

This was horrible. I had issues that I know others had because I saw this in the FAQ. However, the answer provided in the FAQ did not help me solve the issue! At the end it told me I needed to update the software. I did exactly what it said to update and did. Then after the update I would go to file and it would tell me that there was an update and the loop never ended! I ended up printing to mail my file in. This is not what I planned on when purchasing this product. I do not know if I will purchase in the future, nor would I recommend it to someone who is doing their taxes for the first time.
What's great about it: Easy to enter information.
What's not so great: Kept telling me I needed to update and when I did it still would not let me file and kept telling me to update again!

Easy filing

Good software as always. Easier to follow directions than ever.
If you have complex and long passwords created by auto password generator software for financial institution log ins you'll get to enjoy a workaround for not being able to use Ctrl V or paste commands. I hope that is fixed next year.

Federal Excellent, State (MT) Needs Work

Great federal package. State(MT), not so much.
What's great about it: Seemless federal software.
What's not so great: Not everything that could transfer to state (MT) does.

When It came time to efile I did not know if both people in joint return needed a separate pin. It was not clear. Sent it with one pin and was rejected. Corrected it and sent it again. Let people know that a separate pin is needed on a joint return.

Deduction Decision Simplified

Makes decision to take standard deduction or itemize an easy choice based on thorough and straight-forward questions. Since we are already Advantage members, it would be nice to add a check box for same so there is no doubt that we can skip the sign-up without endangering our subscription status.

I have been using Turbo Tax for I think as long as it has been available. It is improved and easier to use each year.
What's great about it: Being able to import year end information from financial institutions
What's not so great: Finding it a little difficult to return to the financial institution to import revised year end statement
