Almost Right

Everything went perfectly until it was almost finished and there was a step where the software went to look for updates. Huh? Why this wasn't done up front is mystifying to say the least.
Then the fun began. All updates went fine except for the "program" update which ended with a signature error for file "WinPerReleaseEngine.msi". This is an Intuit-loaded file! So I searched and I searched for a fix. I wasn't about to delete and reload the whole package - not after completing my form! I THINK I got it working by turning off my Zone Alarm protection suite, because the update loaded fine at that point.

Summary: Great program, but that update should have been launched at the beginning of the process, not at the end.
What's great about it: Thorough Walk-through. VERY simple.
What's not so great: After all numbers entered THEN looked for updates. Errorred out!

Awesome & Easy!

We've used Turbo Tax for at least 3-4 years now, and we have never been disappointed with it. The program is very thorough, so you feel as though you are sitting with a live tax preparer instead of a software program!
What's great about it: This walks you through every single step -- nothing gets missed!
What's not so great: Minor snafu when at the end, but the online help got it fixed for us.

Turbo Tax Deluxe Redux

Last year was the only time e-filing has worked in the last several years. Very frustrating. You should not incorporate if you cannot deliver. Rest of the program works pretty well. This year I had two states involved but I had to communicate between the two state programs. I have used Turbo tax for more than ten years but thinking of trying a different product next year.
What's great about it: Easy to use and clear
What's not so great: E Filing did not work again
