Long time user of Turbo Tax

I am a long time user of Turbo Tax. However, I noticed this year, 2013 version had several changes that didn't make the program better, in fact made it less user friendly. Mostly navigating around the program was not as simple as previously--can't figure out why you would have made those changes! I will consider using something different next year.

2013 Tax Return Done Successfully

Over the last approximately 4 years, I have had to troubleshoot either initial install or efile process. This involved either returning the disc, googling the problem, processing a patch, and/or calling TurboTax help line for operator assistance. This is troublesome and somewhat stressful enough during tax time.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Had to troubleshoot initial install to load it onto computer

Turbo Tax is definitely Turbo, but a bit Taxing

Generally Turbo Tax is my favorite having also used H& R Block online. It is definitely step by step, and I love the fact that it checks and rechecks until there is nothing left unchecked. However, it is a bit taxing when the worksheets have terms that are unfamiliar. I think if the words were links themselves to finding out what they mean (blue), it would be quicker, and create less hair pulling, stomping, and screaming.

So easy!

I used a professional tax prep office last year, after using TurboTax the year before. I paid way too much money to that office, watching someone fill in boxes on a computer that I could easily do myself - for that amount, I would expect some actual tax advice!
Turbo Tax was easy to use - prompts you through everything with clear, detailed questions that gave me confidence that I wasn't missing anything and that the returns were accurate. I will continue to use this in the future.

Confused in Indiana

When installing TurboTax, updates where not checked causing program to get stuck on Updating Partner Information. After repairing things worked pretty good. Problem was with entering 1099-INT, 1099-R, and EIN for each W-2.
What's great about it: Simple questions answered gets you through.
What's not so great: When some questions are answered yes, you get stuck on Updating Partner Information.

26th year and counting

This is my 26th year of using TurboTax and it is a proven product. Every effort to simplify our tax laws results in a more complex situation. Unless your are filing form 1040EZ or 1040A, I no longer believe it is possible to manually do your taxes accurately. A product like TurboTax is essential for ensuring accurate tax reporting. If I wasn't pleased with the results, I wouldn't keeping purchasing this product year after year. Here is looking forward to year 27. Thank you to all the hard working people at Intuit.
What's great about it: Ease of Use continues to improve year after year.
What's not so great: Updates cause you to lose your place in the process.

Kicked butt on my refund

I was a little apprehensive to do my own taxes. However, It was very easy to follow. And I will continue to do my taxes with Turbo tax moving forward. Awesome software!!
