Easy Math

By listing possible income and deduction titles, I was reminded of my own income and deducts. Thanks Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: When I had to change a number, TurboTax did the math for me.
What's not so great: Slow changes between screens.

Quick and easy

Been using it for years and have always found it easy and accurate. We've gone from the old 1140 return done ourselves, through the CPA's and tax preparation companies and settled of this software as the easiest.
What's great about it: leads through all the areas easily missed

User friendly

Designed for the easy filer. You still have to be prepared to file and have your information and documents ready at hand. The software helps you file your taxes. It doesn't gather the information for you nor does it know what deductions you have. You still need to think for yourself.
What's great about it: Easy to use and answers questions.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax continues to do a very nice job

I was amazed at how much Turbo Tax simplified doing taxes the first year I used it a number of years ago. They still do a good job and in previous years, when I did become confused their chat and helpdesk was very helpful. This year, went smoothly though I have to confess, I'm unclear as to why I'm paying taxes at the end of the year instead of getting a refund (though I also know that this isn't all bad, and I think I know the explanation).
Nice job to the guys and gals at Intuit!
What's great about it: Walks you through what you need to do, clearly
What's not so great: Wonder why this year, I am paying instead of receiving a refund
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Appreciate TurboTax

I did this year's taxes in several short sessions, rather than in a single one-and-done session. Many times, previously entered information either had to be re-entered as it had disappeared or the query pages changed completely. Totally confusing and frustrating! And I've used TurboTax for many years.
What's great about it: The relative ease of TurboTax questions asked to complete returns.
What's not so great: Did NOT like that TurboTax does not support e-filing SC tax forms (teacher credit)

I receive a state pension from New York. This year it kept asking for RMD's which does not apply to this pension. This section is very confusing. You need to separate a true pension from IRA's and 403B's in the future.

K-1 entries are not very clear and it is possible to make errors. Reporting companies have a fairly uniform format but that does not directly match TurboTax entries
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is great for most returns
What's not so great: K-1 reporting is sketchy
