I have used TurboTax for several years and when I've experimented with other programs TurboTax has always been the simplest and quickest to use. This year is no exception.
What's great about it: All my numbers and information plugged in, No sweat!
What's not so great: None

It is very tedious trying to combine our individual, Single filed forms into one mock (for a joint State) or joint Federal form - especially trying to get the Carry over Short and Long Term Losses right and the IRAs into one form. Need to be able to transfer two forms into a combined joint form!
Also, found that the IRA basis for Traditional IRAs did not carry over from the 2011 tax form to the 2012 tax form - wish we had found that out last year and saved ourselves the extra work figuring out what the basis should be for this year.
What's great about it: Love it - using it for years. Easy, like the guide but can also see and edit the forms themselves.
What's not so great: Too tedious trying to combine our Single forms into Joint at Fed and State levels after our marriage was recognized

Taxes are too complicated even with software. Too many options & i don't understand half the stuff anyway, even with Turbotax help. Would be nice if non-specific charity items could be added instead of using similar items.
What's great about it: Calculates & carries amounts forward to State filing
What's not so great: Charitable Deductions, capability to add items

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 6 years - thank you Turbo Tax! I find it to be easy and straightforward. I enjoy the e-file process and I have confidence that the reviews and error checks are done by people who have the required knowledge and skills to do so.
What's great about it: Ask all possible questions
What's not so great: Too many questions for areas not relevant to me
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

help after a huge change

After loosing my husband 12/2012, it was a real eye opener for me. last year was not as bad as i expected and this year also went very easily. Next year should be interesting, also, as it seems my job status will be changing. thanks for being there.
