What's not so great: difficult to file return when you didnt know pin number

Suggest software be edited to show information just as it will appear on the 1040 as user imputs information, which does not happen now until user is ready to print the forms. For example, had to work hard to find how to fill in Form 8606 (non-deductible ira contributions). If section on ira distributions immediately asked if any were non-deductible then led to Form 8606 I would not have had to search how to do it. Otherwise, software is awesome.
What's great about it: Handles complex tax issues automatically
What's not so great: Shown information does not mirrore Form 1040 until the end

Have used this Intuit product for many years and would never use anything else. Have complete confidence and peace of mind that all is being done to assure that my taxes are being done to the best of my knowledge and Turbo Taxes.....

What's great about it: allowed me to easily value cahritable contributuions; allows mw to easily calculate deductions.

I initially loaded the program on my Mac. Everything seemed ok except that every time that I started it up, it downloaded a new version (apparently the same version). When I went to e-file, it said that I needed to update before I e-filed. I said ok and it (re-) downloaded the federal forms, but it still said that I needed to update before I could e-file.
I ended up installing it in a Win8 virtual machine on my Mac and then everything went ok through the e-filing process. Unfortunately, I had to spend the time to verify that all the same information was in all of the forms before I trusted the transfer enough to do the e-file.

Gets easier every year. I liked my year to year stats at the end. I hate to sit down and do it, so many other things are calling. sugg. have a list at the end for all the documents to save throughout the year. I always forget something. It would be that much faster.

I like not sitting in some tax preparers office wondering if I brought everything they are going to drill you for.
I can use Turbotax at home and take my time.
Especially if I need to wait to get a form that was slow to be mailed to me.
