Great Program...but

I've used Turbotax for more than 25 years. The program has been improved much over the years and is very easy to use. I like the federal and state e-file capability, but to pay for the program and then to pay 1/2 the cost again for the state e-file is exorbitant. It would be a great improvement to include a free state e-file when the proram is purchased

Clean up your act

Turbo tax is easy to use but has gotten glitzy over the years obscuring entry on the forms which makes it harder for an old non-professional like me to correct errors. (Both yours and mine.)
Please correct the entry of long-term insurance payments that occurs in multiple places causing a double counting in the state return (and only God knows where else.)
What's great about it: I am used to Turbotax after 20 years of use
What's not so great: You got a few mistakes

Easy to e-file with TurboTax

This is our first time to use TurboTax -- why did we wait until now to use this service?
We purchased the Deluxe edition to file Federal and State taxes this year. It will be the only way to file our taxes in the future.
If you are thinking about using any other tax preparation service, try TurboTax first:you will not be disappointed.

What's great about it: Entering data was a breeze.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Love it

Makes filing so easy, even with numerous investment transactions and business income and depreciation calculations. Been using it for years, and it brings my previous information forward so I don't have to hunt down previous records or fill in the same information each year. I have saved thousands in accounting fees over the years using Turbo Tax and will continue to do so!

I have been using TurboTax for many years and feel very comfortable and competent about completing my own taxes.
What's great about it: Easy access and the system walked me through all applicable tax laws

Great for Federal Taxes

Easy to use, each year it starts from last year's info so you don't have to enter everything, and uses it to ask about this years income, expenses, etc. Easy to add new items. Only drawback, it asks if you want to pay to do state taxes only even though I am in a state with no income taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to use, adds in last year's data
What's not so great: Asks me to pay for doing state tax return, my state has no income tax
