My return was very easy.

It was very easy for someone with no experience like me. I was not afraid because it was Turbo Tax. I will get it again next year. Some work has to be done by me, the work you need if you ask an accountant to do your taxes, but this is done while you answer their questions. You feel that you always have help!
What's great about it: Questions made it easy to complete forms.
What's not so great: Nothing I did not like.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Makes an inscrutable task understandable

A solid, helpful product for the majority of people to file their taxes. Covers all typical situations, including some basic investment (short-term and long-term) income calculations and attendant taxes. Definitely encourages entry of all details, the precision of which minimizes your additional tax or maximizes your return.
What's great about it: Easy-Step walk-through, ability to review forms directly, too.
What's not so great: Glitch in copy from prior year data made submission to MA problematic

not user friendly

I am unable to print the state return. I E-filed the federal but want to mail the state but it will not print the state. I had trouble earlier in deleting a energy credit that was erroneouly enter on the federal. "After much effort I was fiallly able to correct the error. I am about fed up with your system after using it for ten years I am seriously considering another program.

Easy as Apple Pie

I've been using Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember - always easy and accurate - like that you can get state forms as well - makes filing a breeze.
What's great about it: Fast, accurate interview format.
What's not so great: You used to have a "What If" tab (how things would reduce tax or not) - Liked that feature.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

A little glitch

I efiled Fedl and authorized direct debit.
When filing state, I previously had indicated direct debit also, however when I asked for a printed copy to mail, the cover sheet for efiling was printed even though I had indicated that I would mail state.
Did not have this problem in previous years.
Had to go back and start filing process all over and lie by saying I would mail Fedl in order to get into mailing state area (even though Fedl had already been efiled. Turbo Tax did acknowledge that Fedl has been efiled during this second time through). Time wasted....perhaps my fat fingers, perhaps the program.......

Improved over last year

I have used TT for more than ten years. I would expect TT to be more intuitive about my circumstances by now.
What's great about it: Somewhat easier to use than last year
What's not so great: TT asks the same questions year after year

What's great about it: easy to follow step by step instructions
What's not so great: My inport of Edward Jones info didn't obtain the different states for my tax free municipal bonds
