frustrating e-file

There is a bug in the e-file procedure for Mac users. You get an error message that there is an update you must install before your e-file can go through. So you go for the update and then have to repeat the e-file dialog. Then you get the same result. After two tries, I went fishing on-line for information about this situation. That wasted an hour. Finally, decided to shut everything down and reboot. That was the answer. THIS IS A BUG IN THE SOFTWARE. So, the simple e-file procedure DOUBLED THE TIME SPENT ON MY TAX RETURN.
What's great about it: 2 hours to do my tax return
What's not so great: 2 hours to figure out the e-file and work through the Mac bug

Overall TuboTax has be a very usefull and easy program to use. It walks you through and asked questions according to your input and previous years returns.
What's great about it: Walk through and comparison to last years returns are a great tool.
What's not so great: Cost can be purchase locally for less money than the auto renewal.

Program did not automatically restart after software updates.
What's great about it: quick, easy, interview process works great
What's not so great: Need a visual when saving return so you know it's working. E-file fees a bit pricey
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I kept on getting a message to correct a retirmentment issue, but Turbo Tax would not let me <click> on the issue to find out where it was.....it too a LONG time to determine where the issue was
What's great about it: Easy to follow the steps
What's not so great: Not given option to go to area in need of change/work

We had our first child this past year and have been dealing with 'new parents' concerns...one thing made easy? Taxes. TurboTax made filing easy...I was a bit nervous about how to capture changes based on our expanded family, but the Intuit interface was, as always, extremely easy to use. I won't say TurboTax has convinced me to have another child next year, but if the wife and I make that decision, we at least know taxes won't be a headache.
What's great about it: Easy to use, captures changes easily
