Gather every piece of documentation you think you will need and Turbo Tax will tell you which ones your are missing. Foolproof.

up to last update 3/27- excellent product this year but last update was horrible and caused major problem with software

TT walks you through every possible deduction so that you do not miss any opportunity to save. You can't beat the price and the ease of use!

TURBOTAX has been something i keep using because it saves me lots of pain and suffering to do my taxes . better than doing it by pen and pencil. i have been using TurboTax for a long time, since i first heard about it. It is a bargain and i love it. thanks TurboTax.
What's great about it: SOLID PROGRAM AND I TRUST TURBOTAX
What's not so great: SOMETIMES THERE IS REDUNDANCY IN THE PROGRAM BUT YOU KNOW THE GOVT.

Another Satisfying Experience!

This is the 9th year that I've used Turbo Tax. I file jointly with my wife. It's ease of navigation and being able to work on it at my own convenience are the biggest advantages. The software allows the entry of possible scenarios (ie. contributing money into an IRA) to lower our taxes owed.
The software is very detailed and covers all of the areas that are of concern to us, such as being able to list any type of write-offs, mortgage interest, 2nd home info, etc.
I highly recommend Turbo Tax to anyone who is a little more than just computer savvy and would like to take ownership of doing their own taxes and to feel secure about the oversight and backing that Turbo Tax provides.
The software is very detailed and covers all of the areas that are of concern to us, such as being able to list any type of write-offs, mortgage interest, 2nd home info, etc.
I highly recommend Turbo Tax to anyone who is a little more than just computer savvy and would like to take ownership of doing their own taxes and to feel secure about the oversight and backing that Turbo Tax provides.

we use it every year. does a good job. last yr info imports well. It's Deductible is great to use all year and just import into the program.

crashing problems

i am on a macbook pro running OS 10.9.2 (Mavericks) and experienced the dreaded crashing of TurboTax when I attempted to complete my state taxes. I waited for the March 20th update, but after deleting Turbotax and all files properly and reinstalling, reading my previously created Federal Tax File continued to cause Turbo Tax to crash. I had to re-enter it which was a complete waste of time. I saved $10 buying the CD version of your program and I will never do that again. Much easier to do my taxes without this buggy software. I HATED using this year's Turbotax. I suggest you test your software before selling it.
What's great about it: can auto fill info from previous year's return
What's not so great: easier to re-type everything myself due to crashes

Great Job

Business (Realtor) use of personal car was confusing, seemed different than last year. 1st year of SSN benefits and had to look to state forms to be sure it was not taxed.
What's great about it: very smooth
What's not so great: had to dig to make sure SSN was not taxed by state
