The tax data for PA did not transfer properly from the federal return. Consequently, I had to prepare the tax return for PA by hand. Wasted my time to do this.

Easiest way to do your taxes if not a CPA.

If you are new to taxes or just trying to do it yourself, this is the best tool to use.
What's great about it: Easy navigation; easy to understand.
What's not so great: None!!
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Have been using Turbo Tax for many years. Know you are trying to make it easier, but sometimes wish you would do entries as in previous years. Biggest disappointment was that this year, my previous info did not carry over, so had to re enter all the info. Have been using Turbo Tax 10+ years. In the past info has carried over.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Seemed to always sytart at the beginning

No corp forms for all states, that is my only complaint.

I loved the experience and it was easy. I will definitely use it next year. I had challenges plotting some figures related to the settlement of the house that I bought such as the adjusted origination fees and appraisal fees etc.

What's great about it: gets me everything I'm entitled to
What's not so great: hate location of "contine"/"done" buttons. have to scroll down to get to them.

Difficulty e-filing

Tried and tried to send the e-file but it wouldn't go through. Turned out to be a problem with the Deluxe disc and Mac and the updates. Marc at customer service solved the problem and made for nice conversation while we were waiting for the downloads.
What's great about it: Easy preparing my taxes
What's not so great: Difficulty sending e-file

Yr 2013 Turbo Tax - Delux

After four years of using Turbo Tax, I have learned shortcuts and methods of entering data. One example, Turbo Tax didn't ask if I had purchased a new car (I had). Luckily, I have learned how to enter the proper page in the IRS Tax Form to enter the data directly. If you always us the Questions method, which makes the tax easier, it isn't obvious how you make manual entries. With a bit of experience, I have found it to be quit easy. Overall, the TurboTax program is easy, quick, accurate and a makes the Tax Time a reasonably simple procedure. Thanks to the TurboTax Team. Larry.
What's great about it: Easily understood questions
What's not so great: Large purchase (New Car) taxes not easily entered, without experience.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
